Oceanside Harbor Days
Annually in mid-September the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce joins forces with Cox Communications, and Genentech to present Oceanside Harbor Days at, where else, the Oceanside Harbor. It is great for everyone from visitors to Allis Chalmers pump parts employees on their days off. This exciting event usually features amazing arts and craft exhibits, a Pirate's Cove area, great food and of course, fun activities for the entire family to enjoy.
The event is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day, and runs for two full days of sun, surf and sand. This festival provides an outstanding opportunity for visitors, residents and neighbors to experience fun activities in a friendly festive atmosphere. Included in the activities are the new Pirates Cove exhibition, vintage real life pirate ships, a large children's play area, the popular Nail 'n' Sail Competition, as well as Military, Police & Fire displays, to name just a few of things you will find here. Mark your calendars since you will not want to miss this event each year.

Operation Appreciation!
Another event put on by the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, this is a day of recognition to the many Marines and Sailors based on nearby Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Any and all active duty military personnel and their families are treated to a day of delicious free food and awesome entertainment at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre.
The day consists of a wide array of activities including a children's fun zone with mechanical sheaf rides, face painting, crafts and inflatable jumping forts. The beach will be loaded with huge military land and amphibious displays, with the purpose of allowing people to explore and learn about these tools used by the skilled women and men of the armed forces. All Active Duty Military and their dependents get unlimited rides, activities, coupons for local eateries and services including and a free lunch. This event is also open to the public at the low rate of $10 per person for unlimited rides. That's cheaper than you're last valve repair! Entertainment and military displays, however are free to all guests.
